Selecting Framing and Hanging HardwareUpdated 2 years ago

Some of our products require the addition of hanging hardware for the print to be ready to hang upon arrival. These products include our Acrylic Prints, Metal Prints, and Photoboards.

We have a number of different options for hanging that can be selected in the order process. The Float Mount is the most popular and is a hanging wire system that will come adhered to the back of the print. We also offer the Standoff Kit, which is a wall anchor and bolt system. The kit consists of barrels and bolts. The barrels are anchored into the wall and the print is then bolted in place through holes drilled in the four corners of the print. There is also the option of a Modern Float Frame, which is a deep box frame made of solid wood, in which the print is mounted flush with the front profile of the frame, and the Standard Frame where the print is placed behind a narrow frame covering the edges of the print. Finally, if you are not looking to hang your print, but set it on a desk or a shelf, for smaller sizes of 12X18 and under, there is the option of an Aluminum Standing Easel.

There can be different options for hanging for different products. For more product specific information on hanging and framing, please have a look at the Hanging & Framing article for your chosen product in the Our Products collection of the Help Centre.

If you do not select a hanging option for your Acrylic, Metal, or Photoboard print, the print will arrive as the print alone, without a system for hanging. Generally, we do recommend choosing a hanging option in the order process, however if you do not, we can suggest a couple of alternatives. One option would be to take the print to a local custom framer and have a frame with wire fitted on the print. This is a great traditional look for prints of all kinds. Alternatively, for a frameless look, you can use an easily obtained product available at your local hardware store, 3M Command Hanging Strips. These are handy non-damaging adhesive strips that allow you to adhere the print to the wall seamlessly. Please ensure to use a sufficient number of strips are used for the size/weight of the print.
